Homemade Gummy Bears

If you have kindergarten children, autumn might be the season of cough and runny nose in your house. We fight the cold by doping ourselves with our own fruit in summer and continue with it in September as much as we can. Once we run out of our own fruit, we get oranges and anything that keeps our vitamin C levels up. Sometimes I like to make the vitamin intake more fun by giving it a form that is attractive to children, for example the form of these Homemade Gummy Bears.

Homemade Gummy Bears

You can make the Homemade Gummy Bears from basically anything that you can turn into liquid. Don’t forget to check out more of my healthy recipes!

Here are the ingredients for my 4 favorite recipes:

1. Banana and tangerine
1 big banana, 40 ml of tangerine juice, 3 tbsp of gelatin

2. Green tea with honey
1 cup of strong green tea, 1 full tbsp of honey

3. Orange
juice from 2 oranges

4. Lemon with honey
juice from 2 lemons and a tbsp of honey

Where I don’t give you the amount of gelatin, use twice as much gelatin as is the gelatin : liquid ratio on the package.

You will also need:

  • silicon mold for gummy bears or ice cubes
  • dropper

First blend, melt and mix well all the ingredients except for the gelatin.

Place the mixture in a saucepan and heat it (don’t boil). Stir until the gelatin in completely dissolved.

Let the mixture cool down just a little, not too much because we don’t want it to solidify yet. Use the dropper to fill the form. Then let the mixture cool down completely and then place it in the fridge for at least one hour.

Push the bears carefully out of the mold.

Eat and enjoy 😉
